can solemn judgement negate the special summoning of monster from monster effects such as a a monster being special summoned by mystic tomato or gb monsters? Or being special summoned from the graveyard by an effect like vampire lord.

Solemn Judgment can't negate the special summon of a monster from a monster effect, only inherent special summons, such as cyber dragon, synchroes, and xyz,and spell and trap cards' activation.

Torrential tribute can destroy the cards summoned, however not mystic tomato due to damage step rules.

Solemn J cannot negate summons resulting out of card effects.

Torrential can destroy monsters summoned by a card effect. BUT Torrential CANNOT activate in the damage step in a chain to a monsters summon(like Mystic Tomato/Giant Rat).

So yea, confirming the above.

1. You can use solemn warning to negate the effect of special summon. But solemn warning can only negate the monster special summoned.

2.Torrential tribute can destroy all the monster normal, flipped or special summon. Priority eff still activates too. Mystic tomato can only be special summoned in damage step.
